Warrior Mountain is nestled upon a winding road above Evergreen, Colorado with immaculate views and a fairly close proximity to Denver being a roughly one hour drive from the city. While this area is a popular place for picnics and tourists to take in the scene, it’s a great option for both sunrise and closer to sunset when families have generally retreated inside making it a great option for those who value a sense of privacy in the mountains.
It was important to Benito+Andrea to have photos showcasing the vast Colorado mountain landscape, as they traveled from Texas to elope at the Rocky Mountains. They expressed their fearlessness of conquering heights to get the shot which really allowed me to do justice to their surroundings!
Dogs: Allowed, On Leash
Accessibility: Short walk required from parking lot. Parking lot holds roughly 10 vehicles. While some areas of this lookout point have beautiful views from a dirt path, others require walking over rocky formations which could be dangerous if icy.
Guest Count: Minimal-due to leave no trace, limited parking and that this site is not reservable (open to public) I do not recommend a total group of over 10 at this location, including vendors.
Permit Fee: None
Season: This spot is subject to a lot of cold and wind due to its placement, lack of coverage and elevation. Prepare for extreme cold and temperatures in the off season (Oct-May). It should be noted that due to the steep and windy road to this location, that weather may obstruct the road and pose a safety issue in snowy months.
Nearby Attractions: Scenic Views such as Echo Lake, Mount Evans
Where to stay: Evergreen, Juniper Mountain House, Idaho Springs
